The Academy library was established in 1992, the year the Higher Ecclesiastical School of Crete was founded. It is housed in a separate building and holds approximately 10,000 catalogued volumes, and a large number of journals, digital discs and valuable materials available for borrowing and study by students, teachers and any interested readers. The catalogued books were acquired through donations or purchases and adequately cover the fields of Theology, History of the Orthodox Patriarchates, Musicology, Ancient and Modern Greek Literature, and related academic fields.
